Facilities

Extensive computer suites, with the latest hardware and software, are available for our undergraduate and postgraduate students. Wireless networking is also available in the Cairnes Building.

The computer facilities are managed by NUI Galway Computer Services, who set up accounts, administer the networks and provide technical support. Check out the Computer Services web site  for more detailed information about these services, including the wireless service.

The Business Information Systems group makes extensive use of the Blackboard Learning System, which enables the Internet as a powerful environment where course-related materials, assignments and day-to-day operational information is made available to students in a controlled and easy-to-use environment.
